We are your farm theatre.
Our farm is a space for assembly. A space for ideas. A space for collaboration, for connection, for renewal. We are here for artists and audiences to access the beauty and primacy of the natural world. We are here for artists and audiences to access each other.Read More →
Our fall Walk of Terror is an extravaganza of theatrical imagination, ingenuity, and audacity: one hundred community members converge on the farm to create an immersive, interactive, thrillingly beautiful night-time walk. Part Burning Man, part Nuit Blanche, part Day of the Dead processional, The Walk of Terror is where the line between artist and audience is most blurred.
Our winter sleigh ride show is a theatrical hybrid that sweeps artist and audience alike into a pre-industrial world where the horse is King – an archaic transporter to a rough and holy encounter with winter, with each other, and with ideas that are lit like flames against the darkness.
Our spring programs advance the work of artists from across the country, and fill the green fields with ideas, words, voices: our Residency Program for independent companies; and a National Playwright’s Retreat helmed by Alberta Theatre Project’s Vicki Stroich.
Our summer show is a celebration: Provocatively populist and operatic in scale, employing mask, music, horses, trucks, five acre entrances, multiple locations and direct address to thrill, engage, and involve both artist and audience in a large-scale act of speculation.
Artists and Audiences, we want to bring you together. Whether you live down the road, across the valley, or across the country, we are your Farm Theatre.
