The Nutcracker
A holiday tradition
Adapted and Directed by Manon Beaudoin, with Libretto by James Fagan Tait
THE NUTCRACKER
We revisit our thrilling interpretation of Ernst T.A. Hoffmann’s holiday classic. Created by Cirque du Soleil artist Manon Beaudoin with an incredible ensemble of artists, THE NUTCRACKER WINTER SLEIGH RIDE SHOW weaves the magic of the winter landscape with stunning circus elements and a fleet of heavy horses to revamp an old chestnut. Told with irreverence, wit and big heart, this is The Nutcracker, Caravan style!
Now in our 35th year, the Winter Sleigh Ride Show is a beloved Okanagan holiday tradition. Horse drawn sleighs transport artists and audience alike over field and forest from scene to scene, where ideas are lit like flames against the darkness. Join our cast, crew, teamsters and horses as we embark on a spectacular theatrical journey, together.
PRAISE FOR OUR 2019 PRODUCTION OF THE NUTCRACKER:
“Wow! Magical night. Interactive multi-staged play full of dreams, magic and mystery. Add in friends, horses, wagons, bonfires under a starry night and top it off with hot chocolate or cider and you have perfection.” – K.K.
“Magical Experience – Fabulous and innovative performance of The Nutcracker viewed from a horse drawn sleigh with elements evoking Cirque du Soleil, highly recommend!” – L.H.
“I was skeptical but the wife got us tickets…. It was well worth it. We will be going back.” – C.L
The Winter Sleigh Ride Show sells out quickly.

A note about our ticket prices: we are a non-profit, charitable organization, which means we don’t sell our tickets to make a mountain of profit. We are here to serve our community. We do need to keep the lights on and the fires stoked, and to pay our artists, teamsters, and crew fairly so that they can continue to make a living. Our ticket prices seek to cover those costs. Please know we will continue to do all we can to ensure our winter sleigh ride show is accessible as possible while maintaining the standards of quality and safety our patrons and company members expect and deserve.
