Dear WOT Participants. We have made the difficult, nay HEARTBREAKING decision to cancel this event. We did not make it lightly. We know how important it is for our community to have an opportunity to joyfully dress up, act out, let loose! But we simply do not have the funds to execute the build, book the bands, pay the performers.
We are in a crisis, and we must attend to it.
As many of you know, these are tough times for arts organizations – we were the first to close down when the pandemic hit, and we are proving to be among the last to recover. Our finances have taken a severe beating and each year since 2021 we’ve plotted a strategic course to adapt to this new reality, only to be sideswiped by fires and heat domes!
So, for the next month we are going into a huddle. Not spending any money. Taking this time to assess how we move forward: Analyzing the data, talking to community, doing some soul searching to figure out how we adapt to this new environment. How we meet this moment. It may mean structural changes to our company, it may mean programming changes. We will share when we know.
What we do know is that the WOT is an incredible community event that deserves to thrive. We have exciting ideas on how we might engage more community and expand the spectacle, and we will be reaching out for your specific WOT input and feedback over the next month or so.
This is a time of Transformation.
We will be going forward with our Winter Sleigh Ride Show, tickets go on sale Oct 18.
Thank you for your understanding.

I HAVE A LARGE GROUP, CAN WE ALL WALK TOGETHER?
Groups of two or three will be permitted to walk at the same time, separated by 30 second intervals.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
We are a hardy bunch and will go ahead with the Walk of Terror in almost all conditions, excepting a severe thunderstorm. Weather conditions are changeable, so we don’t make a call to cancel until the evening of the event. We recommend bringing an umbrella in case of light rain.
