Caravan Farm Theatre Local Audition Call

Caravan Farm Theatre will be holding local auditions to get to know the actors in our region for consideration for our future workshops and productions. If you are an actor living in the Shuswap or Okanagan, please consider submitting for an audition. Auditions will be held in-person, with Estelle Shook, Artistic Director, and Ivan Habel, Managing Director, in attendance.⁠

Auditions are by appointment only and priority will be given to members of Canadian Actors’ Equity Association. Non-members will also be seen. Selected performers should prepare a monologue (contemporary or classical), and a song (any genre). There will be no accompanist.  

Caravan Farm Theatre is committed to inclusive casting.  We encourage submissions from professional artists of all genders, ethnicities, and abilities. Children are welcome to submit for the auditions. 

To be considered for general auditions, please email your headshot and resume with a 150-word paragraph introducing yourself and the kind of work you enjoy—such as new work, comedies, musical theatre, experimental, interdisciplinary, etc. (in one PDF file only) to [email protected].

Deadline for submission is OCT 11, 2024.   If you are selected for an audition you will be contacted with your audition time by OCT 16, 2024.                      

Please note: 

We are only accepting audition requests from people based in the Shuswap and Okanagan regions of British Columbia.

We are not accepting recorded or virtual/Zoom audition requests.

We are only accepting audition requests for the date indicated. If you are not available on these dates, please do not submit.

We are only accepting audition requests from artists who are legally able to work in Canada.
