Barn Gala benefit Concert in support of Caravan Farm Theatre
When is the last time you enjoyed a real barn dance experience? Swing your partner and do-si-do your cares away with Barney Bentall and Friends this August 16 in our majestic Timber Barn.
We encourage everyone to dress up in their best western swag and come kick up their heels – it’s been a beautiful Okanagan summer so far – let’s celebrate! All good celebrations include delicious food and drink, and this event is no exception: the bounty of the Okanagan will be on offer with Helmuts BBQ smokies, fresh Okanagan peach pie, and a bar stocked with the finest local ales and craft cocktails.
Barney Bentall and Friends will perform a 75-90 minute set, followed by an old time barn dance in the Timber Barn.
Tickets are $35 plus taxes and surcharge.

All funds raised support the activities of Caravan Farm Theatre.
Veteran folk/country singer, songwriter and musician Barney Bentall, who first came to national attention fronting The Legendary Hearts in 1988, will bring his family’s star power to Caravan Farm Theatre for a benefit concert in support of the professional theatre’s 2025 season. He will be joined by his “counter culture cowboy” son Dustin Bentall, and Dustin’s partner Trixie Bentall – a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and record producer who, in addition to collaborating with Dustin and Barney, performs with bands The Blue Wranglers, a Cariboo Country-Bluegrass band, and The Waverley Pickers, a cowgirl super-group.
RAIN OR SHINE
All Caravan Farm Theatre performances are held outdoors. In the event of rain the show will be relocated to our dry and covered Rain Venue, ensuring that you see the full show in comfort.
SUMMER SHOW COMFORT TIPS
- The show lasts approximately 2 hours with one 15-minute intermission.
- It cools off at night so be sure to bring warm clothes.
- We have a licensed concession with beer, wine, coffee and snacks. Bring cash!
- We have heated, wheelchair accessible washrooms.
- Mobility parking is located at the end of the parking lot closest to the box office booth and is marked with blue signs.
- Caravan Farm Theatre is located in the countryside North-West of Armstrong. Please factor this into your driving time. If you have not visited before, we recommend that you print out a map and have it with you when you drive.
- Shows will not be held for latecomers.
- Dogs are not permitted at shows. Please leave them at home rather than in your car.
