As a registered arts & culture charity, Caravan Farm Theatre depends on volunteers to help us serve our community.
Volunteers are a vital part of how we host our audience, create our shows, steward our land and venues and are important to the governance of our organizations. We produce a season of outdoor experiences including shows, events and education programs for approximately 20,000 members of our community and visitors to the area.
As a volunteer the time and energy you donate ensures we can create meaningful experiences for everyone who visits this land to engage their creativity and enjoy gathering together with their neighbours!

How does Caravan support its volunteers?
Welcome into our community – As a volunteer you are invited to our annual Appreciation BBQ in the spring and to enjoy the event you are volunteering for. You also get to meet the artists and community members that create magical experiences for our audience. Volunteering also makes you a member of the organization for the year you volunteer and access to our Quarto newsletter for alumni.
Training to ensure success – We want to make sure that our volunteers feel comfortable and empowered in their roles. We send emails in advance to orient volunteers and schedule volunteers to arrive in advance of their event start time so we can go over any information volunteers need to succeed in their roles.
Food to fuel the work – Gathering around the table is a vital part of how we work together at Caravan Farm Theatre. We always ensure that volunteers get a chance to enjoy the delicious meals created for our company of artists and event guests.Want to learn more about volunteer opportunities?
