Box Office Manager –Job Posting

Caravan Farm Theatre is a professional outdoor theatre company based on an eighty-acre farm in the North Okanagan. Hailed as a national treasure, Caravan Farm Theatre is one of Canada’s premiere professional outdoor theatre companies, and has been entertaining audiences young and old, from near and far, since 1978. Caravan Farm Theatre specializes in original works and innovative staging, serves a large rural audience, and has been a pioneer in the practice of outdoor and site-specific theatre.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our box office team as Box Office Manager to  oversee the operations of the box office. If you have a passion for theatre and the events industry and enjoy providing excellent patron experiences, then this is a perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive and proactive approach to ticketing activities in the Box Office with a strong commitment to superior customer service
  • Providing exceptional front-line customer service to ticket purchasers
  • Resolve any patron issues that escalate in a professional and polite manner
  • Maintain a customer relationship management system
  • Provide reports and statistical information to the management team
  • Maintain active communication with sponsors, donors, and patrons
  • Balance and account for cash and credit card receipts from daily transactions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Positive interpersonal communication skills and manner, and excellent written communication skills
  • Experience working within a CRM program
  • Must be proficient with utilizing MS Word and Excel
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Service oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Previous experience handling cash, credit & debit cards, balancing documents, and performing various accounting duties
  • Multi-tasking, and time management
  • Self-motivated  with the ability to work well within a team and individually. 
  • Experience with website editing is a strong asset.
  • Box Office experience is considered a definite asset.

This is a seasonal position requiring a minimum of 24 up to 32 hours a week commencing April 1,2025 through to January 31, 2026 for our 2025 Season. 

Training in our Box Office software will occur at the start of contract and the position will be subject to a probationary period at a remuneration of $25.50 per hour. 

Remuneration on completion of probation period will change to  $27.00 per hour.
